The Catron County Court Calendar
The Seventh Judicial District posts a Court Hearing Schedules index, with separate cards for Catron County District Court and Catron County Magistrate Court. Your Catron County court date sits on the schedule of the court named in the case. The county seat, Reserve, does not own the setting. District Court and Magistrate Court calendars follow different case routes, so match the court and case type before trusting any line. Remember what the schedule is not. It lists hearings, not the full case record. A Catron County Register of Actions carries the longer event history. If the public schedule clashes with a recent order or a clerk instruction, follow the formal notice and call the court. Note: Calendar entries cover near-term hearing information. The Register of Actions preserves the broader sequence of case events.
Catron Court Calendar Seven-Day Window
Each Catron County schedule publishes today's date plus the next six days. That is a seven-day confirmation window, not an archive. The court attaches an omissions and no-warranty caution. A missing line proves nothing either way. It never means a hearing was cancelled. The Seventh District hearing-schedule index is the starting point for both Catron County schedules.
The index points you to the named Catron County court schedule. For longer history or a correction, the case system and the clerk fill the gap.
How to Find Your Court Date
Confirm a Catron County hearing through more than one channel when the date matters. Start with the case number and court. Check the near-term schedule, then compare it with the newest event in the case record. The public calendar is only one path to the answer. Case Lookup, re:Search where authorized, the clerk, and the written notice or order each cover a different piece of the court-date question.
- Identify whether the Catron County matter is in District Court or Magistrate Court, and keep the case number, court location, and hearing type together.
- Check the appropriate public Catron County District or Catron County Magistrate hearing schedule for the current day and next six days.
- Search New Mexico Case Lookup for the general case record, then use re:Search®NM for authorized hearing details and event history.
- Read the newest Catron County event, any cancellation or reschedule reason, and the formal notice or order. A personal My Hearings dashboard is not the public Catron County calendar.
- Call the Catron District Court contact at 575-835-0050 ext. 12 for a District question, or Catron County Magistrate Court at 575-533-6474 for a lower-court question. A clerk counter visit is the in-person fallback when the court directs it.
- If represented, have counsel confirm a setting through the notice and the court. Mail, fax, or email can be used to ask the clerk about the proper process, but the sources do not promise a calendar-request form or response time.
Note: Catron County offers no daily PDF archive of the calendar, no subscription service, no email alerts, and no public iCal feed.
Catron District and Magistrate Schedules
Catron County District Court and Catron County Magistrate Court each keep a separate official schedule page. District Court is the general-jurisdiction court, handling felony trial-level cases and major civil matters. Magistrate Court has limited jurisdiction. It takes misdemeanors, traffic, felony preliminary hearings, and civil cases within its stated limits. Picking the wrong Catron County schedule can hand you a perfectly valid calendar that has nothing to do with the case you are checking.
| Schedule | What it confirms | What it does not replace |
|---|---|---|
| Catron County District Court | Near-term District Court hearing entries for the current day and six days ahead | The District Court Register of Actions, formal notice, or clerk confirmation |
| Catron County Magistrate Court | Near-term Magistrate Court hearing entries for the same short window | A Magistrate case-history search or a clerk answer about a reset |
The Catron District Court schedule is shown below.
The District schedule's short date range makes it a current confirmation tool, not a complete Catron County court calendar history. The Catron Magistrate Court schedule appears below.
The Magistrate schedule confirms a lower-court setting only. It cannot stand in for a District Court trial docket or a Catron County Probate route. Note: A Catron County schedule belongs to its named court, so an accurate date may still be irrelevant to another court's case.
Reading a Court Setting
Read a Catron County setting as a cluster of fields, not just a date. re:Search documents the hearing date and time, the hearing type, judge, location, result, cancel reason, comment, and reschedule reason. The public Catron County short schedule gives you the rendered entry. The case history explains the event behind it. And keep one caution in mind. A setting result is not automatically the final disposition of the case.
| Date and time | The scheduled appearance information. Confirm it against the newest Catron County hearing entry when the schedule is near its update boundary. |
|---|---|
| Court and location | The named District or Magistrate court controls the calendar route; Reserve alone is not enough to identify the record. |
| Judicial officer | The judge connected to the event or case. Assignment can change under the court’s rules and orders. |
| Hearing type | The court’s procedural label. Use the displayed label when no Catron County-specific definition is published. |
| Result or change reason | An event outcome, cancellation reason, or reschedule reason that should be read with the later hearing and event list. |
Note: A Catron County hearing result records that event only. It does not by itself establish the case's final disposition.
Catron Hearing History in re:Search
The short Catron County calendar answers a near-term question. For why a Catron County setting moved, the re:Search hearing and event tools do more. Search the relevant case first. Then open the hearing details if authorized. Read the date, time, type, location, result, cancellation reason, comment, and reschedule reason. Start with the newest event.
- Register of Actions
- The chronological case-event and filing history. It provides more context than a single calendar line.
- Reset or reschedule
- A later date that replaces or follows an earlier setting. The later hearing event is the key confirmation point.
- Cancel reason
- A documented reason associated with a cancelled hearing. It is not the same as a case disposition.
- Hearing result
- The outcome entered for that hearing. It may leave later filings or settings still pending.
Suppose the Catron County web schedule still shows an earlier date while re:Search lists a later event. Call the clerk to resolve the conflict. An online screen is never the only source of notice.
Resets, Continuances, and Cancellations
Hearing dates in Catron County can shift after the schedule loads. A continuance or reset may show up several ways. It might appear as a brand-new hearing. It might appear as a note attached to the old one, or as a later filing or order. Always compare the newest event on the docket with the most recent hearing date listed. A cancelled line is not the same thing as a final outcome. So look for later activity or call the court before assuming anything ended.
For procedure, LR7-001 governs District Court notice. Under that local rule, the judge or clerk sends written notice of a hearing or trial. Counsel acknowledges it or reports a conflict. Notice flows through that written channel. Because of that, the public Catron County calendar can never substitute for the formal order. When the online schedule and the written record clash, call the named court before you rely on either one.
Catron Court Terms and Hearing Notice
Court never really closes here. LR7-017 says so directly. It sets the regular Catron County terms on the third Tuesday of April and the third Tuesday of October. Those dates are administrative landmarks for the calendar, nothing more. They do not confine all Catron County hearings to two days a year. They also tell you nothing about whether a specific setting still stands, has been continued, or was cancelled.
Another local rule covers interpreters. LR7-010 requires counsel to give the clerk 14 days of notice before a hearing. Counsel must also arrange payment. That detail belongs to accommodation, not to the public schedule. So skip the hunt for a symbol on the docket. Ask the Catron County court clerk directly about any interpreter need.
The Seventh Judicial District judges page lists the judges serving the district.
A list of district judges is not a Catron County calendar. For an actual hearing date, trust the court's own schedule and the case record itself.
What To Do If You Miss a Setting
Missed a Catron County setting? Call the right court clerk promptly. Give the clerk the court name, the case number, and the hearing date. Check Case Lookup and an authorized re:Search case history for the newest docket event, because an old schedule line will not tell you what happened. Skipping a hearing in a criminal case can carry serious consequences, and the right fix in your situation depends on the court's current order and where the case stands.
Missed a Setting? A missed Catron County court appearance can lead to a new setting, an order, or other case-specific consequences, so contact the court clerk or counsel immediately.
Ask the clerk for the current public status and the permitted way to obtain or inspect the latest notice, order, or Register of Actions entry.
For a criminal matter, verify any warrant question with the court clerk or the official New Mexico MVD route rather than drawing a conclusion from a stale portal screen.
Catron Court Date Not Listed
No Catron County hearing listed? Confirm the court first. A District Court case never shows on the Magistrate schedule. A Magistrate Court event never shows on the District one. Next, check the date against the seven-day publication window. Check the correct case number, the newest docket event, and any written notice or order too. A blank line can mean many things. It could be the short calendar range, an omission, a changed setting, a restriction, or the wrong court selected.
After the online channels, use the Catron County clerk phone route or counter for the named court. No official long-range Catron County calendar, archive search, or subscription service exists. The court's own schedule directs anyone who cannot find a hearing to contact the court. That call is the proper final confirmation.
Note: The court type and case number, not the Reserve place name by itself, decide which Catron County hearing calendar applies.
